The 1997 Festival of the Freaks

Now that you know the what, when, and where, let me tell you why: The Toledo Autonomous Zone collective has been without an Autonomous Zone for nearly half a year. The EPO Media Collective has teamed up with them to put on a benefit punk concert/social awareness gathering for the Toledo area. Proceeds from this show will be used to fund the founding of a new Toledo Autonomous Zone.

What can you do at the Festival of the Freaks? Suffice to say, a buttload. We will be holding a clothing swap, Twister will be available, workshops will be held on such topics as:

Pirate Radio
Sexual Freedom
The Anti-Prom Movement
D.I.Y. Publishing
Un-schooling
and many more

The Bands!

We've collected some of the Toledo area's best independent punk rock bands. Scheduled to play are:

Drool
Nine Inch Wojciak
Slap
The Corevares
The Unearthlies
and others TBA

Bands start at 6 PM and play until 11 PM. And the entire event will be broadcast live via pirate radio! (Frequency to be released at a later date.)
